Turkey-stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 4 lg. Portobello mushroom caps
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 c. marinara sauce (3 Guiding Stars)
  • 1/4 c. fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. black pepper
  • 1/4 c. pepper jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375º F. Bake mushroom caps face-up on a silicone-lined baking sheet until soft, 15-20 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown turkey. Drain grease and add sauce and spices.
  3. Set the oven to the broil setting.
  4. Fill mushroom caps with turkey mixture and top with shredded cheese. Turn broiler on and broil until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.
