Ingredients
- 3 lbs. tart baking apples
- 1/4 c. raisin or date paste
- 1/2 t. ground cinnamon
- 1 t. vanilla extract

Instructions
- Peel, core and slice apples.
- In a slow cooker, toss apples with raisin paste and cinnnamon.
- Cover and cook on high for 2-2 1/2 hours or on low for 4-4 1/2 hours. Apples should be tender, but not to the point of being pureed.
- Turn off heat and stir in vanilla. Serve warm or cold.
