Ingredients

  • 7 tomatillos, husked
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. lime juice

Instructions

  1. Place tomatillos in a single layer on a baking sheets. Broil on high until slightly charred, turning once (7-8 minutes). Cool on baking sheet.
  2. Place all ingredients in a blender and process to a chunky pureé.
  3. Chill to allow flavors to blend (45 minutes).
