Garlic Basil Pork With Applesauce

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 8 boneless pork chops
  • 1½ cups unsweetened applesauce
  • ⅛ tsp. nutmeg
  • ⅛ tsp. allspice
  • 2 tsp. chopped garlic
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ¼ tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Mix canola oil with basil, parsley, and garlic powder.
  2. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pork with oil mixture and sauté until meat reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165ºF (4-5 minutes per side).
  3. Remove pork from pan and loosely cover with foil. Lower heat to medium-low.
  4. While pork is resting, add remaining ingredients to skillet and heat sauce until warm and bubbling (3-4 minutes).
  5. Divide sauce over pork chops to serve.
